It is so hard to take a picture of this girl!  She is not having it!

Age :: 7 months

Length :: 26 inches
 
Weight :: 13lbs 2 oz 
*I'm starting to get concerned about her weight again, but our pediatrician still thinks she is doing fine.  Just small.  Prayers that this doesn't make me crazy!
 

Milestones ::  Charlotte can wave hi/bye and clap now.  She loves to clap!  Especially when you say, "yay"...she gets super excited!  She started pulling up on things this month and standing.  Just a few weeks ago she took her first steps holding on to our ottoman!  Someone make her stop...she is going to be walking before we know it.  She cut another tooth for a total of three (working on #4). She no longer sits in her bath chair anymore.  She loves to sit up like a big girl to play in the tub.  She loves to feed herself and makes a lot of noise.  Still no words yet.  I'm anxiously waiting for her to say 'mama'.
  
Sleep :: What is sleep?  Ha!  Poor thing is not handling teething very well.  She sleeps ok until 3ish and then is up to nurse.  She is back to sleep until 7AM.  She is still taking two 2-3 hour naps during the day and going to bed around 730pm.  It is such a bad habit, but most nights she is in bed with us.  We all get better sleep that way, however, I think Daddy would disagree.

Favorites :: 
This girl is into everything.  She still loves to mess with her big sissy, especially pull her hair.  She loves playing with blocks, eating and still unsure about swimming.  She loves bathtime!  She still loves to cuddle and loves our dog, Neko! She enjoys playing Peek-a-boo and crawling all over the house.  Her favorite toys are Emma's play food and blocks. 

Doesn’t like :: She still does not like her carseat.   At this point, I'm not sure she every will.  She doesn't always like to take a nap.  She still doesn't like getting dressed and won't lay still long enough to get her diaper changed. She does not like to have her face wiped and hates when I leave the room.  She does not like to be in her high chair for very long.  When she is finished eating, she is finished and will let you know.  She does not like to be told no or have things taken away from her.  

Foods:: Breastfeeding strong! This girl loves to eat and hasn't had any trouble with solids.  Her favorite are avocados, spinach and sweet potatoes.  We have decided to go the Baby Led Weaning route, which I will talk more about later, but you can click here for more info on BLW.  She loves waffles!  She will eat most fruit, but prefers veggies.  She is doing a great job at fed herself.   

Firsts:: First Memorial Day celebration (28 weeks), Got locked in our car (29 weeks)...you can read all about that here. First Father's day with Michael; took her first steps holding the ottoman (30 weeks).

Clothes:: Size 1 diapers.  Tiny thing is still wearing some 3-6, but for the most part, she's moved on to 6-12. 

Nicknames:: Char Char, Charlie (Emma's version of Charlotte-sounds like Sharlee), Charlie girl, Sissy, Sister and Charlie-O (Emma calls her this).

 Happy 1/2 birthday to my sweet baby!  Half a year old! 

 Age :: 6 months

Length :: 25 1/2 inches
 
Weight :: 12 lbs 13 oz 
*We finally gained a little more than a pound this month!  Our pediatrician thinks she is just going to be petite and is pleased with her weight gain.  No more weight checks!  Praise God!

Milestones :: We have a very mobile and active baby!  She is crawling like you wouldn't believe and starting to pull up on things.  She is sitting up on her own and doing great!  Charlotte has two teeth now and has started solids.  She can focus and grab toys and her favorite thing to grab is Emma's hair...it's already begun!   

Sleep :: Sleep is not that great :(  It could be worse, but it could be a lot better.  I feel for those mamas who are up every two hours.  Charlotte is a great napper (when big sis lets her), but she has a little trouble staying asleep through the night.  She is still going 5 hours or so, but is waking in the middle of the night.  Most nights she is ending up in our room and sleeps well.  We have started to sleep train again and are hopeful we can get her sleeping through the night again soon.

Favorites :: She loves to chew on everything, and well, get into everything.  She loves to look in the mirror and pull big sister's hair.  Ha!  She loves cuddling and being rocked and sung to before bedtime.  She is obsessed with our dog, Neko! She still enjoys jumping in her Fisher Price Jumperoo and playing Peek-a-boo.  Her favorite toys are Emma's barbies and her teething toys.  She loves bath time and has moved on from sitting in her bath chair to sitting in the tub like a big girl.  I wish she would stop growing!

Doesn’t like :: She still does not like her carseat.   At this point, I'm not sure she every will.  She doesn't always like to take a nap.  She would rather see what Emma is up to.  She doesn't like getting dressed and won't lay still long enough to get her diaper changed. She does not like to have face wiped and hates when I leave the room.

Firsts:: First trip to Texas and first airplane ride (22 weeks), sitting on her own (23 weeks), celebrated big sister's birthday (24 weeks), started solids (24 weeks) first full day with daddy (25 weeks), first tooth (5/11). 

Clothes:: Size 1 diapers.  3 month clothing and some 3-6.  

Nicknames:: Char, Charlie (Emma's version of Charlotte-sounds like Sharlee), Charlie girl, Pumkin, Sissy, Sister

Each month, I keep saying that I can't believe Charlotte is another month older.  And each month it seems like I say that a little sooner than the last.  I'm enjoying watching her grow, but sure wish it would slow down!  I don't remember Emma growing this fast.  Charlotte is such a happy baby and such a blessing to our family!

Weight :: 11 lbs 10 oz 
*Charlotte is still having a hard time gaining weight.  We were told to go ahead and start solids, including putting oatmeal in her bottle when I pump to try to help her gain.  Pray for us!  I think I'm having a harder time with it than Charlotte is!

Milestones :: This girl is on the move.  She has really started trying to scoot around.  It won't be long before she is crawling!  She is trying to sit up, but still very wobbly.  I finally got that baby laugh I've been waiting for!  It's more of a chuckle, but it's so cute.  She smiles at Emma all the time and thinks she's funny.  I hope they are going to be best friends! 

Sleep :: We are still sleeping pretty well for the most part.  Some days are better than others and she is good about self-soothing in the middle of the night.  There are those nights she wants to wake and nurse, which I don't mind at all.  I think most of it has to do with her teeth trying to come through.  She takes about 3-4 little naps during the day and one long 2 hour or more nap late afternoon.  Emma is napping at the same time for her long nap and it has been amazing!

Favorites :: She loves to chew on everything, and well, get into everything.  She loves to look in the mirror, blow bubbles and definitely loves to blow raspberries on our shoulders when we hold her.  She still loves to chew on her hands and toes.  She still loves to be sung to  and nursing in on the top of the list.  She loves our dog, Neko! She loves to cuddle and likes playing with her Fisher Price kick n play Piano.  She still enjoys jumping in her Fisher Price Jumperoo.  Her teething toys are becoming a favorite now!

Doesn’t like :: The car seat and Charlotte are still not friends.  We have hit the separation anxiety stage and she does not like when I leave the room.

Foods:: Breastfeeding strong! We started oatmeal and will begin other solids soon.

Firsts:: Easter (3.28), first time to blow bubbles (22 weeks), separation anxiety (23 weeks), strawberry picking with big sis (18 weeks), first taste of oatmeal (21 weeks)-you can watch her video here. 

Clothes:: Size 1 diapers.  3 month clothing and some 3-6.  

Nicknames:: Char, Charlie (Emma's version of Charlotte-sounds like Sharlee), Charlie girl, Pumkin, Munchkin, Wiggle Worm
