We are officially halfway through Halloween month and even though I’ve yet to get my girls costumes in order (I know, I know), we are in full swing with decorations and daily reading of some of our favorite books! With four kids now, it’s a struggle to be that “Pinterest Mom” mainly because the days aren’t long enough to do all the things BUT I do love rotating out our books for the holidays AND it's an easy way to get into the spirit.

We have a lot of new Halloween and Fall themed books this year,  but I’m sharing our top 10.

Preschool Books (my one year old twins favorites):

-Spooky Pookie
-EEK! Halloween by Sandra Boynton (these are perfect for my one year twins and really cute books)
-Room on the Broom (a Halloween staple in our house)
-It's Pumpkin Day, Mouse (a great book about expressions)

School Aged Books:

-There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Bat (who doesn't love these series)
-There’s a Monster in your Book (this book is hilarious and a must)
-Ten Flying Brooms (a counting book)
-We're going on a Pumpkin Hunt
-Lulu Goes to Witch School (a great book for beginning readers)

Chapter Books:

-The Best Worst Halloween Ever (perfect for my oldest who is learning about books without pictures)

What absolutely love books and I could name more, but these are our favorites right now.  Do you have a favorite Halloween book that you read each year?  Let me know in the comments!

What's in our Easter basket? | Our Favorites and Must Haves

I had so much fun filling Emma's Easter basket this year!  She is another year older and even though she doesn't fully understand what all it means, she still loved it!  Most of our items were from small, handmade Etsy shops.  We love shopping small and supporting handmade shops!  Here were a few of our favorites this Easter and links to where you can find them.

Monogrammed Easter Basket by SewChicNC
Is this not the cutest little Easter basket you've ever seen?  I love monogramming and I love the vintage feel of wicker baskets.  The shop owner shipped this out quickly and I can't wait to get a matching one for Charlotte.  You really should check her shop out.  She has adorable items that you can have monogrammed.  I'm eyeing the toddler monogrammed bathing suit and beach towels for the girls!

The Bunny Rabbit Show by Sandra Boynton
Some of our favorite books are those written and illustrated by Sandra Boynton.  We try to get Emma a new one for each holiday or if we just get her something special.  She loved this one and the fact that it was a sing along book! We even gave one away to a lucky follower over on our Instagram page :)
Personalized Bunny Tee and Onesie by The Invitation Mom
Absolutely one of my favorite small shops.   The shop owner is the sweetest and I have never had any complaints.  She takes custom order for monogramming and honestly, I just let her know what theme and it always turns out amazing.  She is also our go-to shop for invitations.  Christie does them all for us!
 Headband by Birdie Baby Boutique
Birdie Baby Boutique has some of the cutest headbands I've ever seen!  I know I've raved about them before, but I'm doing it again!  I loved that this one matched so great with the girl's tops!  She is another shop that takes custom orders and does a wonderful and very creative job to match your outfit.
Easter Towel Bib by The Sewing Chickadee
If you have a toddler who is just as messy as mine is when it comes to dinner time, then this is definitely a must have for all occasions.  We love this bib!  It is huge and perfect to catch all the food Emma drops or decides to smear all over herself.  Ha!  The Sewing Chickadee has fun prints to choose from or solids.  She even has pretty blankets and quilts.  The sweet shop owner has also included 10% off your purchase for The Littlest Funk readers!!  How awesome is that?!  Just use code 'FUNK10' at checkout.
The last few items we included in Emma's Easter basket this year were from Target.  The egg cup and Spring plate were both from the dollar section!  Of course, we couldn't forget to include our favorite fruit snacks from Annie's!

 HAPPY EASTER!
